Welcome to the Story Exchange!

The Story Exchange is a place where you can upload screenshots, annotate them, and share your SimCity Societies stories with the community. Like the Mod Exchange, the Story Exchange was created for community members to give them the ability to share ideas and creations in a fun and creative environment. Enjoy!

Getting Started:

There are a couple of easy things you’ll need to do before you begin. You must be Product Registered and logged in to the SimCity Societies site in order to upload to the Story Exchange.

1. Once you’ve done those two things you’re all set to begin. Click on the “Create a Story” link in the Exchange left hand navigation. This will bring you to “Page 1” of your story…

2. On “Page 1”, be sure to remember to add a “Title”, “Description”, and “Keywords”. This is a very important step because it will allow users to be able to search and find your story.

3. Add your first image to your story by “browsing” to your folder location. SimCity Societies generally places them in these folders:

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\SimCity Societies\User Data\DGA\Snapshots

Vista: C:\Users\username\documents\SimCity Societies\User Data\player name\Snapshots

4. After you have uploaded an image, you can choose to either hit the “Next” button to create another page in your story, “Publish Story” to the website, “Preview” your story, or “Cancel”.

5. If you choose to add more pages, simply follow steps 1 through 4, as many times as necessary until your story is complete.

6. If you need to edit a story you’ve created, go into your “My Uploads” section and click the “Edit Story” link.
